Coco Chanel: Fashion Goddess

Coco Chanel is known and revered as one of the most influential figures in the fashion world from the 1920’s to today. Not only was Coco Chanel way ahead of her time fashion-wise, she created timeless styles that were practical, comfortable, and chic and are still seen with awe today. Coco Chanel did more than design clothes; she created a fashion empire that is still seen as one of the most high-class and prestigious to this day. She changed fashion forever, and her influence on the fashion world will continue forever.

Facts about Coco Chanel
  • She invented the LBD (little black dress)
  • She made the tan popular
  • She made the first long strap shoulder bags (crossbody bags) after she got sick of holding handbags
  • She helped invent the flapper dress. She hated the constricting dresses that women had to wear, and she hated corsets. So, she designed dresses and clothes that were a little looser. This style is still popular and is seen in shift dresses.
  • She popularized the minimalist style and brought it into fashion.
  • Chanel No. 5, her first and most popular perfume is still one of the most popular perfumes in the entire world
  • She won a fashion "Oscar" from Neiman Marcus

Summer clothes are some of the most unique things you can add to your winter wardrobe. Florals and bright colors are adorable in the winter because they are things that you normally do not see in the winter. In addition, the cuts and patterns of summer clothes are very different from those of winter, and mixing summer clothes and winter clothes together adds a variety of layers that look super cute together. Don't be afraid to experiment with your clothes! You paid for them, so you might as well wear them as much as you can. The easiest way to wear one of your summer skirts or dresses (like we did in the pictures) is with tights and a warm jacket. It'll keep you warm, and you'll look adorable!

P.S. Sorry for being away for so long~
