Cute outerwear pieces are essential during fall because they look cute while keeping you warm at the same time! You can chose to make your outerwear piece the focus of your outfit, or use it to enhance articles of clothing. Don't be afraid to buy jackets or sweaters in a size bigger than you normally would, because slouchy outerwear is very in. Happy fall shopping! 

This Weeks Gold Carpet Update: Fall Fashion Trends 

Lace is super in this fall and it is all over the runway. In these photos models are rocking their little black dresses with hints of lace that take the dresses to a whole another level. Its the perfect balance of classy and chic. 

Plaid has made a huge comeback this fall. In this photo Lindsey Lohan is wearing an oversized plaid shirt paired with black pants, and to complete the look she wore some edgy laced up combat boots. This grunge outfit is great for those chilly fall days. 

Another major fall fashion trend this year is leather. A simple leather jacket can take your outfit to a whole another level. In this ensemble the model is wearing simple black jeans and a loose fitting t-shirt, by adding the black leather jacket her look goes from simple to polished and edgy. So don't be afraid to play around with leather this fall, it can give your outfit just the oomph it needs.

Not only are anoraks fun to say but they also are super cute for when the weather gets colder. There are so many opportunities to layer with these long and lightweight jackets that the possibilities are endless. Go for neutral colors such as this great army green one from Nasty Gal or venture into a navy or camo pattern.

These platform lace up chucks are an obvious no go for us. First of all, they look incredibly bulky and don't look flattering at all. Especially the extra platform this has is not doing this shoe any favors. Beware of these shoes because they really have nothing going for them and are just not cute.

When it comes to mixing prints in your outfit, make sure that the prints don't clash with each other. In the first picture the prints are not meshing together at all but in the second picture the two prints actually go and make a very cute dress. Be very careful when mixing prints because you could end up with something disastrous.

Crop tops and high wasited skirts (and shorts for that matter) are very in right now. They make an immediate statement as the warm weather comes to an end. There are so many ways to mix and match them and you will always look chic and trendy. Enjoy the last days of warm weather and wear this trend while you can!

 

 

 

Lazy Day Outfits

 

 

 

We don't know about you but whenever we have lazy days (and we all do), we still try to look good. Harem pants are a great route to go if you want to be comfortable but still look super chic. Pair it with a fitted crop top like the one below from Brandy Melville to contrast the pants and the top. Be careful how you style them though, you don't want to look like you're sagging!  Get the right fit and a good neutral color that works for you. Always look chic so you can always look your best, even on your lazy days. 

 

 

 

School Outfit Ideas

This outfit shows our first school  must- a jean jacket! Jean jackets are perfect for school, because they can just be thrown on top of an outfit and keep you warm but still looking cute. The addition of the circle scarf here was perfect, because it adds a pop of color and a different texture to the outfit. 

We really like this outfit, because it's simple but edgy. Don't be afraid to wear plain tops to school, because you can amp up their style factor by adding a bold piece of clothing, like colored jeans. Even with the colored jeans, the outfit would look a little one-toned , which is why we added in a printed cardigan.

This Week's Gold Carpet Update: The VMAs Fashion Favorites

Taylor Swift looked gorgeous and showed her amazing figure in this glamorous beaded navy gown. Her retro hair and statement red lips tied the whole outfit together in full old Hollywood glam.

Shailene Woodley looked adorable at the VMAs, and rocked a perfectly worn crop top. The black crop top was a perfect combination with her printed high waisted skirt, and the bright colors from the skirt are enhanced by the neutral well-fitted top. Her outfit was both sophisticated and fun!

Allison Williams wore the most perfect little white dress.  It was simple yet elegant, and the lacy texture of the dress took it to the next level. Allison's pointy toe black heels complemented her dress perfectly, and she got points for making a smart choice by putting her hair up so that all eyes were on her dress.
