Lazy Day Outfits

 

 

 

We don't know about you but whenever we have lazy days (and we all do), we still try to look good. Harem pants are a great route to go if you want to be comfortable but still look super chic. Pair it with a fitted crop top like the one below from Brandy Melville to contrast the pants and the top. Be careful how you style them though, you don't want to look like you're sagging!  Get the right fit and a good neutral color that works for you. Always look chic so you can always look your best, even on your lazy days. 

 

 

 

School Outfit Ideas

This outfit shows our first school  must- a jean jacket! Jean jackets are perfect for school, because they can just be thrown on top of an outfit and keep you warm but still looking cute. The addition of the circle scarf here was perfect, because it adds a pop of color and a different texture to the outfit. 

We really like this outfit, because it's simple but edgy. Don't be afraid to wear plain tops to school, because you can amp up their style factor by adding a bold piece of clothing, like colored jeans. Even with the colored jeans, the outfit would look a little one-toned , which is why we added in a printed cardigan.

This Week's Gold Carpet Update: The VMAs Fashion Favorites

Taylor Swift looked gorgeous and showed her amazing figure in this glamorous beaded navy gown. Her retro hair and statement red lips tied the whole outfit together in full old Hollywood glam.

Shailene Woodley looked adorable at the VMAs, and rocked a perfectly worn crop top. The black crop top was a perfect combination with her printed high waisted skirt, and the bright colors from the skirt are enhanced by the neutral well-fitted top. Her outfit was both sophisticated and fun!

Allison Williams wore the most perfect little white dress.  It was simple yet elegant, and the lacy texture of the dress took it to the next level. Allison's pointy toe black heels complemented her dress perfectly, and she got points for making a smart choice by putting her hair up so that all eyes were on her dress.

Back to School

Graphic tops are a school-year wardrobe staple. These funky tops can be worn in a variety of ways; with high waisted shorts, circle skirts, maxi skirts, and even tights. Go for colors that are pastel, or a bit muted because lighter colors can be worn more often than bright, loud prints and colors.

As school approaches so do the fabulous jeans sales, but beware! While some printed jeans with muted patterns are cute, most of them are not. Jeans with loud patterns are unflattering, hard to wear, and will not match with many outfits. NOT cute.

High-low was high in fashion just this past spring, and we loved it! However, it must be worn right, and some high-low dresses like this one just look weird. The best high-low skirts/dresses are the ones that do not have an extreme dip in length like the one shown above. If you're going for a dramatic look, try bolder prints or fabrics instead.

This week its all about....CUTOUTS. Now these can be used to show a little bit of skin but still be tasteful. In the pictures above^^ you can see how they are used on the red carpet. Remember, wear them wisely!

High waisted shorts are definetly in, but why not stray from the usual and try something different? Cuffed high waisted shorts allow you to alternate the length, allow more coverage of your rear, and in general, look super cute!

Overalls seem to be making a comeback, and lets just say we are NOT pleased. These monstrosities look sloppy, childish, and are not form flattering at the least. It seems like there are no ways to wear this garment except in a fashion faux pas. STAY AWAY.

Now don't get us wrong, we love us some hats, but like any other accessory, it needs to be worn right.  A hat could make or break your outfit, and needs to be styled according to what you are wearing. Keep in mind a printed hat wouldn't always match with a busy outfit.
